The Uwena Board of Directors shall consist of no less than three and no more than five directors. The current Board of Directors is as follows:

Lavita (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians) serves as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. She is passionate about seeing her people make the most of their resources and build wealth.

Jade (Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation) serves as Vice-Chairwoman of the Board of Directors. She is passionate about seeing native children achieve success and the positive impact they can have on their community.

Uwena will announce the selection of a new board member soon.

The following provide staffing and support to Uwena’s programs and operations. They are not members of the Board of Directors.

Kelsey (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians) serves as a Program Officer for Uwena. She is passionate about sharing resources and knowledge with Cherokee Youth.

Tevis (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians) serves as a Program Officer for Uwena. He is passionate about fostering wealth and allocating sustainable resources for Indigenous communities.

Cory (Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians) serves as the Executive Advisor to the Board of Directors. He is passionate about seeing people and organizations achieve their full potential.
