EBCI Community-Wide Financial Needs Assessment

We want to hear your financial wellness story based on your personal experiences, so we created this community-wide financial needs assessment as a way to capture your feedback. Your story about financial wellness and managing resources will help us build an organization and programming that can better meet the needs of our community. Your feedback is critical in helping our community build generational community wealth.

We know money and personal finance can be challenging topics to discuss, and we greatly appreciate your willingness to share your stories with us. We hope that you will find this assessment as an opportunity to share your story, what you know, what you wish you knew, and how we can be a meaningful resource to our community.

FAQs

  • That depends on how much you would like to share with us. You could spend as little as 10 or 15 minutes or as much as 60 minutes telling us your story.

  • This survey is open to members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and their families (spouses, parents, children, etc.) regardless of where you live.

  • Both. Ideally respondents will be ages 15 and older. We are very interested in responses from people who have some connection to the EBCI’s Minors Trust Fund - those about to receive money, have received money, or have children/grandchildren who have received money from the Minors Trust Fund. You must be 18 years old or older to be entered in the drawing for $500.

  • This information will be used for strategic planning for Uwena, a non-profit organization located in Cherokee, North Carolina. This information will be used to design the organization and our programs so we can have a meaningful impact within our community. Your information is kept by the organization and is not provided to other parties.
